After staying here last year… new owners sarah and Paul with their family… have almost totally transformed this absolutely stunning victorian home into a welcoming family/dog friendly accommodation… central to all amenities… highly recommend to anyone who wants a home from home feel with a good selection of freshly cooked breakfasts to suit any palate… you will be welcomed as guests and definitely be leaving as friends!!

PERFECT Sarah & Paul were very good & helpful Room was excellent and very well thought out.What impressed me most was the offer that we were welcome to bring in a Takeaway, & eat it in the dining room, not our bedroom.

Excellent place to stay, Paul & sarah really welcomin, was a delight. They couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was excellent, really enjoyed it, would recommend anyone to stay.

Stayed for the weekend and it was really lovely !Room was really nice and it over looked the park and to the left was a sea view ! Breakfast was delicious with good quality ingredients and a nice selection of options ! Sarah was so friendly, and it was spotlessly clean ! Would highly recommend !

Paul and Sarah were pleasant hosts ...they were very friendly and were happy to give us advice and guidance on where to go etc ....the breakfasts were OK with all local produce

Sarah and Paul are friendly and welcoming hosts. They run the B&B, in my opinion, in the correct way.The room was as expected and spotless.The breakfast is very good with plenty of choice. Nothing is too much trouble for them and if you need anything then you just ask and they will provide it if they can. We will certainly stay there again in the future.

Meant to write this a while ago, but nevertheless just wanted to say a huge thank you to Paul and Sarah for making my little boy’s stay with you in mid-July this year so memorable. I am going through a tough/uncertain period at the moment with custody and the need to potential change our dates of our little holiday last minute was always there but Sarah was very understanding and tolerant of my many phone calls trying to sort this out and where she could be flexible with room types. Their interaction with my little boy was lovely; anything from making him porridge for breakfast one more to Paul showing him the baby ducklings he keeps, and little things as well such as keeping an eye on him whilst I loaded and unloaded the car (single dad on holiday with a 2.5 year old). My little man still talks about ‘going to Sarah’s’ and I’m pretty certain we’ll be back again next year, hopefully in a more certain climate and for a bit longer :)

Rowcroft Lodge is an exceptionally good B&B, very clean and very well placed for the Paignton seafront. Paul and Sarah are very friendly hosts and clearly enjoy what they do. Cooked breakfasts are superb! I would highly recommend Rowcoft Lodge to anyone wanting a first class B&B in Paignton. Thanks Paul and Sarah for making our stay highly enjoyable, we will be back I’m sure!

This is one of the best stays I have been too and the first time taking both my granddaughters, Lily and Ivy-Rose.Sarah and Paul are superb hosts. The room was spacious, cosy, lovely and clean with fresh linen,towels and tea/coffee facilities, also very comfy beds.We had the top room which had a nice sea view.There was a fab choice for breakfasts, which you booked the night before and all really lovely with home produced fresh eggs from their chickens and all other ingredients were fab too. best breakfasts we've had.We loved it so much we are going back again Easter 2024.Thank you Sarah and Paul for having us stay,the girls will miss you very much, as well as the beautiful kitty cats x x

Clean comfortable room with a very comfy bed. Sarah and Paul Fantastic HostsBreakfast was delicious freshly cooked and piping hot. Excellent location for the beach and other activities. Absolutely amazing place in such a great location, Sarah and Paul are great so kind and welcoming made us feel a part of the family. The rooms we had were beautiful so clean and fresh. Breakfast was amazing cooked fresh every morning good choice and always served with a smile. Will definitely hope to book again 😁😁😁

The hotel is clean and tidy.Located near the bay, literally 5 minutes walk.Breakfast is very good, you can choose what you like.The hosts are very nice, helpful.I highly recommend it to everyone.

We stayed a couple of nights beginning of August.Its location is excellent being only a short walk from Goodrington sands where there is plenty to do.We stayed in a triple room,it was excellent , beautiful high ceilings and big windows. The bed was very comfy and room airy and extremely clean with all that you needed.We had a choice of breakfast types, whichwere scrummy! made from quality ingredients.Thank you so much for your kind hospitality and warm welcome, we will definitely come back again👏👏

Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Paul made us feel like family. Amazing breakfasts! Location great as we could walk to the beach. Family room a little tired decor wise but told it’s next on the list to do up. All mattresses were slightly too small for the bed and found our pillows ended up falling down the gaps including the children’s bunk beds. There’s not always guaranteed parking at the property nor on the road outside. We struggled a couple of times to get parked up but it definitely wouldn’t put us off returning again 😊

Sarah & Paul recently welcomed us to their lovely guesthouse Rowcroft lodge , thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Extremely friendly & welcoming , could not do enough and the best freshly cooked breakfast we’ve ever had along with some cracking banter. Will definitely be returning sometime soon.

After staying here last year with my son, I invited my parents to come along this year and I can honestly say we were not disappointed. Sarah and Paul are fabulous hosts, catering for all your needs and making you feel very welcome. The rooms we stayed in have been recently renovated to a high standard and they were just what we needed after a busy day exploring the beautiful Devon coast. We would definitely recommend to all who are looking for a friendly, quiet, relaxing place to stay. Thank you again Sarah and Paul for another enjoyable family break.

I booked Rowcroft Lodge for a last minute 3 day Devon trip. Nervous as my usual place was fully booked...these guys did not disappoint. Brilliant location, room was clean and a good size for me, lovely hosts who are genuinely interested in chatting and instantly make you feel welcome. The breakfast was FAB and the parking spot was defo a bonus!! Will defo being booking with Sarah & Paul again.

We have been coming to Rowcroft lodge on and off for the past 27 years. We have seen several owners over the years all Who have been great hoteliers and hosts, and great friends and we are still in touch with them all. I can say that our holiday this time was just as fantastic with new owners Sarah and Paul, you were both great and have done fantastic things to the rooms and decor. The breakfast was all fresh and tasted great even the eggs newly laid, all in we had a super time . We’ve just returned from a long weekend in Paignton, Sarah and Paul were the most friendliest and accommodating people you could ever meet. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them and we felt so at home during our stay. We brought our 9 month old pup on holiday with us and we felt that the dog friendly room had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Sarah and Paul even kept our dogs food in their personal freezer for us and gave it to us daily which made everything so much easier for us. The breakfast was absolutely lovely and so much choice, you would never go hungry. The free parking outside was so helpful and we were in walking distance from everything so it’s in a really convenient location. Everything about our stay was perfect, we’re already planning our next stay with Sarah and Paul later this year!

Staff are very friendly and helpful. The service is nice and the rooms are very cosy and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

A very welcoming couple. An all round lovely stay at the Rowcroft Lodge. It’s in an ideal setting minutes from the beach and places to eat. Room was clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Breakfast was fantastic and just a genuinely pleasant experience which I plan to have again on my next visit to Paignton.

This is the second time we have stayed here and we were welcomed like returning friends.Sarah and Paul are warm and welcoming nothing is too much trouble. They have renovated the house to a superb standard giving each room a personality with a boutique feel but keeping the traditional feel of the house! Sarah makes an excellent breakfast with locally sourced produce, including fresh eggs from her own Chickens and duck! Thank you so much Sarah and Paul for making our stay so memorable! Was very surprised with this Guest House and its location. Very close (3 mins) to Goodrington beach. The superb Goodrington Park is right oppositewith boating lake, crazy golf etc etc. It is a short (10 min) walk to Paignton including the Steam Railway, Rail Station and Bus Station.We took our car and managed to park right in front of the property, although theparking on the road can get busy at times.If you like using public transport, it is also a short (10 min) walk to the bus stop which can take you to Brixham or Dartmouth etc. Fares wer just £2 to the centre of Brixham. Whats not to like. Busesare every 15 mins.We took the steam train to Dartmouth. Amazing trip.Very friendly family who go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Lovely breakfast with home sourced food.Comfy beds!Loved it here and would not hesitate to return.All round great place for a break!

I would definitely stay at Rowcroft Lodge again. The owners were friendly & welcoming. The room/b&b was lovely & was very clean. The breakfast items were locally sourced & cooked well. Good location..a few mins walk to Brewers fayre & a beach. It is a 5min car journey to Paignton zoo, which was definitely worth a visit. It was a 14min walk to Wetherspoons, the pier & sea front shops

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Rowcroft Lodge. The room was nicely decorated, very clean, and had a comfortable bed. It was lovely to have a smart tv to watch Netflix. Our host Sarah, was very friendly. The breakfast was delicious, and so were the eggs, from their own hens. The location was near Goodrington Esplanade, for fish n chips. It was good to have a parking space. All this at a very reasonable price. Thank you Sarah and Paul

Tilly my dog and I had a wonderful time staying at Rowcroft Lodge, had an amazing dog friendly room, very spacious and super clean, Breakfast was gorgeous!! Rowcroft Lodge is a family run guest house near to the beach at Goodrington Sands. The location is ideal for exploring this part of south Devon. It is situated in a quiet part of Paignton away from the busy town centre. An lovely stroll into Paignton along the coastal path, beaches are very near, nearby bus stops with a regular service into Torquay and Brixham. There is also a steam train to Kingswear.The guest house is run by Sarah and Paul, and has a selection of rooms for all possibilities, such as guests with dogs and families. Rooms are clean with en-suite facilities and fresh towels, coffee and tea etc. The room was sea facing with a comfortable double bed and TV. Sarah and Paul offer a good breakfast of a wide choice of hot dishes to suit all. They are a friendly couple who try their best to ensure you have everything you need during your stay. They offer advice on where to catch buses and good places to visit.Thank you both for making our stay so memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you and especially seeing the new kittens.

Stayed at the Rowcroft Lodge for 5 nights in September. Situated in an excellent location for Goodrington beach and Youngs park. Just over 10 minutes walk from Paignton. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The cooked English breakfast was of top quality. Delicious local sausage, bacon and eggs. We took our little dog and had a downstairs dog friendly room. Handy being next to a beautiful park with Herons and Cormorant for that early morning walk. Tea and coffee facilities. Nice hot shower. TV and Wifi. Quiet location. Goodrington is our favourite part of Paignton. The beach is fabulous and it's right next door to the steam railway. Highly recommended. A very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Thank you. Stayed for five nights in Sept 22 with my wife and small Jack Russell Terrier.Excellent location with free parking and 2 minutes walk from a lovely park andyear round sandy, dog friendly beach. Had a lovely ensuite room and a excellent English Breakfast made with quality produce, all at a very competitive rate.

We arrived to a warm and friendly greeting from Sarah the owner, it was like visiting a friend! Our room was at the top of the house and what a gorgeous space! It was clean, bright, had refreshments and a fantastic view of the sea and lovely park area! Sarah makes a mean breakfast, it was delicious and very filling! Sarah was lovely, nothing was too much trouble and we truly felt welcomed, she really was the cherry on the cake! We are definitely returning next year, thank you Sarah and Paul for a lovely week! We can not wait to see the new renovation! Good luck with it all xx

The owners of the guest house were lovely made you feel very welcome from when we first got there . They let us check in early and it was a godsend after the long journey there they were very helpful with parking nothing was too much trouble which makes a huge difference. They were friendly and do a amazing job . The breakfast was lovely great owners .

Sarah and Paul are really friendly and helpful.the guest house is very clean and located with incredible access to Goodrington beach, the park, and the water park.Paignton is a reasonable walk and there are excellent bus services to explore Devon if you don't have facilities to drive.I would highly recommend the guest house.

Stayed here this earlier week and had one of the most best stays at any Bed and Break places! The area had everything from a stones throw away beach, activities for young and old, restaurant's, near by trains/buses and walks with fabulous views over the cliff faces and sea. The new hosts were fantastic in welcoming, room cleanliness and cooking really great breakfasts and were very helpful with room change, recommending places to see and go too. We will be returning again next year.

Recommended for your stay in Goodrington Sands. A short walk on the flat to the beach. We had a warm welcome and made to feel nothing was too much trouble which is reassuring when you have a 3 year old with you. Daily fresh water delivered to the room. Room was clean and bright with a side window view of the sea which is always a bonus. Would definitely return.

Great little guest house, very clean & the hosts very friendly.Great spot for all the family, and exploring further afield.Good value for money.There were dogs present, but were no bother as the establishment rules kept them to certain areas, so was no problem. Was originally a bit apprehensive at first, especially as we are ‘cat’ people! Good spot if you have a pooch…..New proprietors, so are getting to grips with the slightly dated decor etc. But still a great experience, would happily come back again.Would have happy given it 5 stars, but did need a bit of TLCKeep up the good work....

We had a long and excellent stay at the Rowcroft Lodge. Wonderful breakfasts, clean and well equipped rooms. the location is ideal for children in the sense that it's a very relaxed surroundings,a park, children-friendly restaurants, a lovely beach, (expensive) water-park.We enjoyed ourselves very much even without a car.

Sarah was a fantastic host. Breakfast was very good and nothing was too much trouble. The decor throughout is very tired, and needs upgrading but the new owner Sarah has a great vision for the future. Will definitely return when the refurbishment is complete.

The location of the accommodation is perfect! 300m to the beach and 1,000m to the train / bus station and stores.Our room was comfortably furnished, the location is quiet. The beds were very good, we slept excellent. The landlady is very nice, helpful and attentive. We will come again!

Wish we had found this place sooner! Superb hosts Chris and son Luke, very friendly, professional and polite.Attentive to anything you needed couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast cooked to order was superb! Lots of choice. Place spotless, everything needed for a break away. Close to seafront, everything within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again. The whole experience of the Rowcroft was brilliant from start to finish, The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a good size and had all that you require in a room. A good range of breakfast options, however we stuck to the full English as they were amazing and you have the option for them to be included in the room rate. Would definitely recommend.

Greated by Chris & Luke on arrival who are a lovely friendly family. Shown to our dog friendly room which was cosy and clean. Breakfast was superb with plenty of choice, and served by Luke who is a lovely polite and friendly guy. They always have time for a chat, a bit of banter and any advice you need. We stayed at Rowcroft lodge for 2 nights and were very happy with our stay. The owners are friendly and make you feel welcome, you can tell they put a lot of time and effort into looking after their guests. The breakfast was delicious and the room was clean and comfortable, we slept very well. It is in a lovely location by Goodrington sands and the gardens there, it is nice and quiet with beautiful scenery, and a short walk away from Paignton and public transport. We would highly recommend staying here!

We had a lovely stay at rowcroft Lodge with our dog bernie the really put themselves out for us, nothing was to much troublewould recommend friends and family to stay, we would nothesitate booking there again.

A clean and covid conscience BB.Friendly team.Food was ok but felt little choice, more fruit and cereal(Muesli, porridge ) and perhaps a choice of pastries but what food they did provide was ok.Shower toiletries holder needed replacing as very rusty but didn’t cause an issue just more cosmetic.

We enjoyed our stay at Rowcroft Lodge. Chris and Luke are good hosts and make you feel welcome. The Rowcroft is a good base to visit the area and it's opposite the park with Goodrington beach just beyond it. The room was a good size andwas clean with tea and coffee facilities. Paignton is within walking distance.

We stayed for 3 days, lovely friendly welcome and relaxed atmosphere. located opposite beautiful Boating Lake and Park and 2 minutes walk from Beach front.Paignton Centre 10 minutes walk along lovely coastal path. Room was small but clean and adequate for our needs. The area was lovely, close to main beaches of Goodrington sands and short walk to Paignton beach. Lots to see and do, and would definitely go back. Cooked breakfast was very good, and hosts provided extra refreshment topups in room when needed.

Great location with lovely view over the park towards the sea.Agood walk along the steep coastal path to Paignton Harbour took about 15 mins or easier walk along the roads.Hosts were very friendly and the breakfasts each morning were excellent with good choices.Thank you

We had a 3 night stay at the Rowcroft lodge , we were treated by Luke , at truely nice young man, very helpful and accommodating, the rooms ewe had were on the 2 floor , bit of a trek if your elderly, very clean and spacious, all you need was in there , breakfast was where we met Chris the owner and chef, nice man funny and also very helpful, breakfast was very nice , overall stay was good, peaceful, the only issue we had was the parking, we were extremely lucky in that each time we came back to the property we found a space, but it was very hectic, I’d recommend staying at the Rowcroft Lodge ,

The Rowcroft was in a prime location and the hosts Chris and Luke where great very helpful and welcoming, room was clean and spacious, breakfast fantastic would highly recommend this as a great place for a long or short stay 10 out of 10 will be going back .

Lovely find in a perfect location, hid away from any noise but in walkable distance to activities, set in a beautiful park with sea views.Family who ran the B&B were lovely and very friendly.

Second time staying here with our dog. Chris & Luke are very friendly helpful and make you feel very welcome they serve a good breakfast sausages are very tastey..dog friendly rooms are basic and comfortable with TV WiFi and tea coffee making facillities. There is a park boating lake cafe directly opposite and the lovely sandy beach water park and pub are a 5minute walk away..ideal if you havechildren or dogs.

I booked a triple room for myself, my son and my dad. The location was perfect for the beach, the park, local attractions and restaurants.Accomodation was clean and comfortable and staff could not do enough for you. The breakfast was superb and really well organised.

Great B&B highly recommended with excellent breakfast & outstanding service run by Chris & son Luke who are both down to earth & have a fantastic sense of humour. Very reassuring measures were in place with regards to coronavirus which was explained to every guest at check in. Tea & coffee making facilities & bottled water were replenished daily when left outside the room as due to coronavirus Chris & Luke did not enter the rooms once occupied. Room was a good size, comfortable, clean, bright & tidy decor. Great location for walking to beaches, boating lake, go karts, water park & views of the steam train along it's route from Paignton to Kingswear and only a 10-15 min walk to the railway station & town centre. Thank you to you both for a lovely break.

Me and my partner and two children had such an amazing holiday Rowcroft hotel is amazing, the owner was so lovely and his son they do an amazing job and make you feel so welcome if you need anything there happy to help, the room was lovely and clean and the breakfast was beautiful I would definitely stay there again and everything you need is on the door step and the beach I would definitely give this hotel 10/10

From the moment we rang the bell to check in, we were made to feel very welcome.All Covid regulations were being followed, so we felt very safe whilst staying there.The breakfast was superb, which you could tailor to your own preferences and waiter service was excellent - Luke couldn’t have done any more to make our breakfast an enjoyable experience. We enjoyed his jokes - never too early in the morning for a little light-hearted humour.Both Chris and Luke were very friendly and did all they could to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you Guys.

Chris and Luke, run a very tight ship. Nice, tidy clean public areas and room (number 8). Superb breakfast. No ambiguity at all from Chris, he tells you how it is and it works well. Very amiable and friendly too. Well positioned hotel, especially if you’re a beach lover. I’d definitely recommend this hotel. One word of warning, top floor rooms mean quite a few stairs so beware . Also seagulls dancing on the roof (early morning)were an unwanted extra. I accept that this is beyond the management’s control. We’d like to thank Chris and Luke, for making us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our week there. Steve and Denise.

Once again we were made welcome by Chris and Luke for a lovely break in Goodrington. Fully sustained by awesome breakfasts and pleasant banter we were able to venture out into the sun with our small dog Daisy. It really is a great dog friendly resort and Rowcroft is literally a couple of minutes through the park from the beach. Excellent value. My rating is based on location, friendliness and quality of breakfast.

We had a lovely stay at the Rowcroft Lodge.I'm so glad I found this little treasure.Chris and Luke were welcoming and friendly, the room was clean and dog-friendly, they've thought of everything!Breakfast was exceptional, freshly cooked and very tasty.As a dog- lover,the best thing is the location.You are 5 metres from Goodrington Park and about 40 metres from Goodrington Sands Dog Beach.We loved being able to pop across the road to the park and beach and our dog had the best holiday ever.We also had days out to Brixham, Torquay and Dartmouth, all beautiful places within easy reach of Paignton.We will definitely be back.

What can I say?! From phoning Chris to make our reservation until the minute we left Rowcroft lodge provided an outstanding service. Chris and Luke work hard to provide a clean comfortable guesthouse. Nothing is too much trouble. Felt like home from home straight away! Beautiful views of Goodrington beach and park, with regular passes of the steam train.Great parking provided for our motorcycle, safe and secure.Covid precautions taken very seriously, information and instructions given on arrival, you won’t see Chris or Luke without a mask, great systems for restocking tea/coffee and fresh towels enabling them not to enter your room.Excellent Breakfast that sets you up for a day of exploring Devon in the perfect location.Thankyou both for a wonderful stay, we will be back!!!!

Stayed for 10 days from mid-September, and I must say that it was thoroughly enjoyable. The accommodation was very clean and Covid compliant, which the owner Chris was very strict about. We stayed in a double room on the third floor with a lovely view over the park and beach. The breakfast was superb, and we were always asked if we needed anything else, nothing was too much trouble. Chris was very welcoming and had a joke or story for every occasion, the perfect host. I would thoroughly recommend this guest house for anyone looking for a holiday in Torbay, great location (15 mins walk into Paignton), 5 mins walk to beach, and great value for money.

Just returned from Rowcroft Lodge in Paignton. Perfect little break for ourselves and our 3 year old grandson. Chris and Luke were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely tasty breakfasts and comfy spacious room. Excellent for our grandson as we were literally across the road for the park and swings and a short stroll to the sea.

So lucky to be able to visit Rowcroft after the lockdown. My favorite guesthouse anywhere. Ideally placed in Goodrington for the beach and the Park and so brilliantly run. Lovely room. Great breakfast. Chris and Luke make their guests feel totally relaxed. Even with the coronavirus problems it was wonderfully enjoyable stay. Couldn’t find a better location if you tried. We have a little dog so it’s only seconds from Rowcroft and you are in a park that takes you down to two beaches. The nearest is dog friendly all year round and the other is not. A Premier Inn lies between the two with its Brewers Fayre restaurant. There is also the Cantina restaurant in the park. Chris and Luke are friendly hosts who provide a full English breakfast that should satisfy all. Doggy rooms are small but have all the necessary requirements. Look forward to our next visit. Star rating based on satisfaction rather than facilities.

Exceptionally well prepared for COVID-19 felt very safe during our stay. Perfect location for us. All the staff wereVery friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, I do not particularly like pre order breakfast but must say the food was excellent. We would definitely stay here again. May even bring our dogs next time.

It was our first visit to Devon and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay as the venue was a super location. Chris was so helpful and maintains lovely spacious & clean rooms, with help from Luke. Breakfasts were great. Our pet Alfie was allowed to stay and made very welcome. Well situated overlooking the park and very convenient for the water park and steam railway station. Looking out of our room was a lovely park (with lots of lovely doggies) being walked by their owners. I lost count how many I seen! 2 mins further up and we was walking along the beach! Splendid location, fantastic breakfast cooked by the owner Chris......what a cracking host! Bedroom was big, comfy and clean too. We will totally be going back to stay here 100%.
